You can't help someone like that. To be in a relationship with someone like this is asking for trouble. We all know situations or someone like this; "Queens of Denial" to coin a phrase.

We all need to know who we are, what we are, and why we behave accordingly. If we can't come to terms with it, while all the while knowing what we have the power to change, and what we can't, then we can only expect to be continually anxious.bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04469145500792404484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2703298219148864437.post-20650568872187039642011-10-27T17:10:02.242-05:002011-10-27T17:10:02.242-05:00Excellent post and article helping us to understan...Excellent post and article helping us to understand ourselves and the progress we have or have not made.

I started out my adulthood as a very religious Methodist, closeted married man with two sons. Some forty years later, I have lost most of my religion, but not spirituality, and am now both in and out of the closet depending on the situation, which works for me. For my professional career, I have remained in the closet and when I was practicing religion was of course in the closet. Since I am straight acting, people perceive me both as straight and gay and so I seem to travel back and forth on both sides of the closet door. Mostly, I perceive myself as just a man whose sexual orientation one way or the other just should not matter, so I act appropriately according to the situation. That works for me.Uncutplushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456398466578990531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2703298219148864437.post-79412247205420913272011-10-27T16:23:59.314-05:002011-10-27T16:23:59.314-05:00Wow. First of all, being a liberal Christian, I have little tolerance for evangelical Christianity and its many destructive things it has done to the GLBT community. But, maybe that intolerance is my own vice. Over all, I'm a little bothered by the fact that there seems to be no resolution. For all the lengths that our society has come, it feels like the solutions aren't any better than they were 20 or 30 years ago. Then again, maybe I should be reassured that being in the closet still is the safest place. I may be chewing on this one for a long while.Mackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02417879115453658262noreply@blogger.com
